A licence to start. A royalty per device after that.

Why Implexus licenses the engine the way the industry licenses its best designs, and what each licence type is for.

Implexus does not sell the engine as a subscription. We license it, in a model the semiconductor industry has used for decades: a licence to start, and a royalty on each device that ships with the engine inside.

Two parts

  • The licence: access to the engine and its endpoints, Safe, Relay and Forge, with the SDK and reference designs. Agreed once, for a defined scope.
  • The royalty: charged on each device that ships with the engine inside it.

Four licence types, and more to come

  • Evaluation: for a team testing the engine before a product decision.
  • Product: for one product line shipping the engine.
  • Portfolio: for several product lines under one agreement.
  • Academic: for research and teaching.

How it starts

Evaluate on your own files with an evaluation licence and an environment on app.implexus.io. Build on Safe, Relay and Forge under a product or portfolio licence. Ship, and the royalty is metered per device.

The licence is the door. The royalty grows with every device that ships.
